Fragile Self is the music and visual project from Grammy award winning designers, Jonathan Barnbrook and Anıl Aykan. The name is taken from a classic book on psychotherapy by Phil Mollon.

Their first project is released in the form of a book, it is exactly the same size as the first edition of Freud’s ‘The Interpretation of Dreams’. It takes as a starting point subjects of classic psychotherapy, from Fritz Perls, inventor of Gestalt therapy to the enigmatic Bertha Pappenheim, patient of Freud and Josef Breuer.
It features original photography and a visual collaboration with artist Peter White of Bethlem Gallery, Bethlem Royal Hospital and a wide range of text and images that inspired the songs. The music is available as a digital download using a code printed inside. An enigmatic and uniquely thought-provoking creative project.
