Small Bust of Sigmund Freud by Oscar Nemon (1936)

£110.00

This moving bust of Freud distills Nemon's respect and admiration for a man he sketched repeatedly through the 1930s in Vienna and lastly in London.

Ideal for the desk or study, where Freud of course displayed his own collection of small statues.

Working from her Wood Green studio, London, artist and ceramist Martha Todd has remoulded Oscar Nemon's 1930s original plaster portraits of Sigmund Freud, using two part silicone moulds, supported by rigid plaster armatures, to faithfully reproduce Nemon's casting methods. This ensures that the portraits of Freud are absolutely accurate casts of the originals created by Nemon from life.
